School Background
Founded in 1961, Shanghai RIDER School is located in Sheshan, Songjiang District. With nearly 64 years of educational experience, the school offers Singapore undergraduate–master programs, Japan EJU programs (arts, science, and liberal arts), as well as domestic academic, arts, and sports-focused Gaokao (College Entrance Examination) curricula.

Founding Principal: Principal Ding, a graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with 15 years of experience in the education industry. He emphasizes academic excellence and is devoted to fostering students’ harmonious and healthy development.
Principal of the International Division: Principal Xu, a graduate of Tongji University, with 17 years of experience in international school management. He has guided hundreds of students into top universities worldwide and advocates a “one-student-one-plan” approach with personalized academic pathways.
Academic Programs
I. Singapore 2+2+1 Integrated Five-Year Program
First 2 Years in China: Junior high school graduates complete two years of preparatory courses in China to strengthen their English foundation and develop independent learning skills.
2 Years of Undergraduate Study in Singapore: Students enroll in Singaporean universities for 2–3 years, supported throughout by RIDER teachers.
1-Year Commonwealth Master’s Program: In the final year, students aim for Top 100 master’s programs, including National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Queen Mary University of London, and targeted programs at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
Key Advantages: The total cost is only about one-third of studying in the UK or the US. The five-year tuition and living expenses are approximately RMB 1.2 million, with enrollment contracts guaranteeing undergraduate graduation and master’s admission.
II. Japan EJU Program
Centered on Japan’s EJU examination combined with TOEFL, the program offers tracks in liberal arts, science, and fine arts. More than 200 students have been successfully admitted to top Japanese universities, including the University of Tokyo and Waseda University.
Art portfolio guidance is provided at no additional cost. The program includes 14 guaranteed direct-admission institutions, 12 art universities, and partnerships with 25 universities, ensuring a secure and reliable pathway to higher education.
III. Domestic Gaokao Programs
The school offers academic, arts, and sports-focused Gaokao programs, covering all nine subjects. Supported by a 3+3 vocational-to-higher-education guarantee pathway, some students in 2025 were admitted to top universities such as Fudan University and China Academy of Art (985 / 211 institutions).
